Reading the article I was reminded of the depths auto makers would sink to in order to saver pennies on every car made. On another note; am I the only person that these AOA vanes seem so hokey and inelegant to? I am not a pilot, nor a designer, but if I was buying and flying something that had these sticking out like an after thought; I'd be like WTF are you kidding me?!
