The media seems to be on a mission to kill commercial aviation similar to what happened to recreational aircraft. I wonder how long before we see an article about how Boeing knowingly omitted flare and chaff systems despite the risk of surface-to-air missiles. They'll talk about how the AN/ALE-47 system could avoid 22 deaths/year for only $30k.
