Please stop posting unsubstantively. You've been doing it a lot, and eventually we ban accounts that won't follow the guidelines by posting thoughtfully and informatively.

- just_a_dev 7y agoThen ban me. This place is full of fluffed up "I am very smart" types who can't take a few opposing viewpoints. If you can't even have a differing opinion here, there's no fucking point to post here. If saying the girl died of asthma complications is controversial enough to be flagged and downvoted into oblivion, I don't want to be a part of this place. Besides what the fuck does this have to do with "hacker news" or anything technology related. This place has become a shell of what it once was due to shit quality politically motivated fluff like this post. Also, it's funny you dont post the same reply to the 10 other unthoughful and uninformative replies to me with the same comment. Adios.
- dang 7y agoThis has nothing to do with "differing opinions", only to do with your egregiously breaking the site guidelines. Since you don't seem to want to use HN as intended, I've banned the account. If you don't want to be banned, you're welcome to email hn@ycombinator.com and give us reason to believe that you'll follow the rules in the future.
- eropple 7y agoThank you, Dan. Breadth of viewpoint is important, but I reject the notion that HN is somehow closed-minded because "perhaps it's the nine-year-old's fault?" gets a measure of incredulity.
