This is the same as any moral argument, whereby you advise someone not to intervene in a situation where they could help, because of a possible danger. There is right, and then there is smart. It's difficult to say that action would be noticed or appreciated and the danger may not be realized but can't be ignored. But heros do dumb things because they're right.
