From the ads I got on Tumblr, it felt like one of the things they were trying to do was build the leftist millennial equivalent of Glenn Beck's email lists or whatever. I'm not sure how well that would mesh with a porn ban. (I'm surprised there aren't any companies pursuing this! I thought Gab was going to, but it looks like they monetized with pro subscriptions [instead?].)
