  It was pretty damn hyperbolic. I seriously haven’t seen that much of an anime advertisements anywhere except near konbinis and stores related to them. There might be an collaboration with some anime and product once in a while but from my experience (and this is an experience of an foreigner living in japan) it’s far from norm.
