It auto-adjusts. Is that not working for you?

The point is that the targets on the V9 UI are too small and even if you brace part of your hand on the bottom of the screen frame, it's easy to select the wrong function, whether it is seat heater, or fan speed or temperature or whatever one you haven't conventiently assigned to the right scrolly wheel. :)
