It depends on your definition of “kill”.
OpenSolaris -> Illumos
Hudson -> Jenkins
OpenOffice -> LibreOffice
MySQL -> MariaDB (not killed, but forked out of fear it would be)
And a non-Oracle example:
Node.js -> IO.js (arguable - forked because Node dev was stagnant, eventually merged)
