Some of our teams use Darcs, which is older than Git but has many of the same advantages at a raw level. Unfortunately it's not very well supported by CI tools and there's no fancy web front end like Github / Bitbucket to use. I'm not a huge fan, but it looks like we're going to keep using it for the foreseeable future.
