A fun thing you'll see sometimes in rants about other websites is the screenshot where someone coloured the content part of the website from all the other stuff, UI, sidebars and ads. The obvious labels are "stuff I'm interested in" vs. "stuff I'm not interested in". Facebook was always bad in that regard. Friends posts are small boxes, crammed between sidebars. This redesign seems to think that the stuff we're not interested in, the sidebars, needs even more enlargement.
