Have you tried using the built-in ClearType Tuner to tweak the rendering to your liking?
- twa927 8y agoYes, I run it several times, but each time the effect wasn't noticeably better. And I would prefer to have an option for an explicit configuration of the rendering properties (like "hinting: slight/medium/none") instead of going through a series of sample screens, because this is getting really tiresome after a few passes... I recently switched to a 4K/24" monitor and I actually cannot say that the Windows fonts are pixelated, but they are still too thin. And the larger fonts don't look good - as if the hinting was completely disabled for them.
