Real talk: eating on average around one meal a day has been really good for me. Swapping some fat and carb intake with (nutritious) sources of protein has not only made me less hungry, and helped me lose weight, it also just feels.. better.
The main downside is that if everybody did this, the world would be in even worse shape than it is today, so... really just crossing my fingers for some near-future lab meats. That'll be the day!
Also, might I just add, in the same fashion that the author considers it pretty tacky for the aforementioned dudebros (although that's kind of a cop out boogeyman, imo..) to mock teenage girls for wanting to improve themselves, the author seems to have no problem just medicalizing the way he eats as some kind of mental-origin disorder, and that the only appropriate therapy is to eat a little bit from every aisle in the supermarket.
I mean, c'mon, give me a break, there are known health benefits to intermittent fasting and known harms caused by eating many extremely common foods or pervasive ingredients, even in so-called moderation.
