What decides who gets a name in a “blockchain” DNS? The first to squat on the name? The one to waste the most electricity doing meaningless computations? The highest bidder?
- bouncycastle 7y agoSame existing methods that are used today could be used to prevent squatting, eg 'commit-reveal' Vickery style auction, in that way the domains do not go for the highest price (The highest bidder wins but the price paid is the second-highest bid).
