Wouldn't a face mask help them?

  You still need to breathe air, and that has to come from somewhere. Face masks are effectively preventing droplet infections, but probably wouldn't prevent traces of peanut from being inhaled.

  Yes, a simple dusk filter would prevent peanut dust from being inhaled. If it gets on their skin though I don't know how someone normally reacts. May be too small to cause an issue or who knows?
