As a generally-happy person, I quite like happy songs. I tend to like them more than sad or angry songs. I'm guessing this is because I identify with them so much more. And I'm guessing that sad people identify with sad things strongly as well. Perhaps "like" is the wrong word in the title. Perhaps "prefer" is better.
