So what you're saying is, if you look at a language that is only used by people with many years of professional experience, then salaries will be higher compared to a language used by many entry level learners? I think Clojure is awesome and have used it for some projects but I also think that causal relationships in the SO survey are often completely misunderstood.

I think in practice most less experienced developers cannot justify investing their time in such a niche programming language as Clojure. It's not like Clojure developers are paid best because they are the most experienced. It's because they could afford the time to master a programming language with very little demand on the job market.
