all I'm thinking: it takes a lot of luck and discipline to keep a fortune for 950 years. You could say laws (might forbid sale unless...), but I imagine that they weren't enforced uniformly. Where do you store the title? Imagine what the country went through 950 years. IIRC, they only lease the land for as much as 999 years, don't sell.
