This is not for laptops. Its a replacement for the GX-424CC SoC, which is used in things like this: https://www.fit-pc.com/web/products/fitlet/fitlet-t/ https://www.fit-pc.com/web/products/fitlet/fitlet-t/ I use them everywhere. User $400 sans HDD and RAM, fanless, under 30W total draw, can drive 2 HDMI, displays 2 Ethernet ports, WiFi, 8 x USB and a whole pile of other stuff that escapes me now, all driven by the SoC. 5 year warranty minimum, long term support, when I've returned one I was sent a new one no questions asked, Debian Stable just runs on it. Very similar to the cheap Chinese NUC clones you see on EBay and Amazon, but not quite so cheap and built to HP / Dell type server standards. Note the claim on that page: "outperforms IPC2 with Intel Core-i3 yet has 30% lower price". That may have been true, but it's and old chipset and it's not true any more. It still pisses all over what a couple of cloud VPS's can do, but it's painfully obvious when doing something like video transcending for security cameras. I've been waiting for since the announcement of the Zen arch. It's been a long while in coming, but that usually is the case for industrial SoC's.
