> What's your most convincing argument for why an average person should care more? Explain it to me like I'm 5. The data leak of HIV patients' identities which happened in the UK a couple of years ago. Think you'd struggle to find anyone who thought "Oh, that's not a problem - noone really needs privacy". I think most people also understand that there should be general enough rules to cover all situations like that. The challenge in my view isn't explaining why privacy is good and needed. It's convincing them that their privacy is actually at risk.
