  This is of topic. How do you downvote a comment? Is it disabled for new users or user should have specific karma? I have been here for years and I have decent karma I think

  I have several friends that make $10+ per downvote on HN. So my guess is that the fastest way to get downvotes is to write something that someone with a marketing budget wants to remove.
