This is one of the most beautiful cathedrals I’ve been in, but one of the worst experiences. And the time I went it wasn’t the Americans who were being loud, it was people from another top-5 world population country.
- kenneth 8y agoIf you're trying to say China, just say it. No point trying to be politically correct when everyone knows the controversial thing you're saying. And yeah, generally Paris and its touristy sights are way overrated. Crowded with annoying tourists. Touristy Paris totally blows (and so does Rome). I much prefer to spend time in the Netherlands, Ireland, and Germany myself. There's even a term for the utter dissapointment people feel when the reality doesn't match expectations in Paris: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paris_syndrome https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paris_syndrome
