Techniques For Good User Interface Design
- kingsidharth 16y agoIt's a lame mix of actual techniques, design opinion and random trends. It's a shame how How-to's are more popular than design theory and psychology on design blogs."Offer personalization options" has nothing to do with "User Interface" it is "UX" not "UI".

- kingsidharth 16y agoNo dude, this is not the basics. NOT AT ALL!This is a very misleading article. It hardly has anything to do with UI. I am sure if you read articles on http://uxmatters.com/ http://uxmatters.com/ you will find it more "sensible".This "decoration" is really hopeless.

- jasonlotito 16y agoYou're confusing people valuing something with it's actual worth. What the parent is saying is that the article isn't really worth much, but might be valued by those who don't know any better.
- lubos 16y agothis list is completely useless don't waste your time... most of those points are just describing current trends which you don't need any list for... just look around. I was expecting some time-proven list of fundamental design rules. Sorry but I find it rather insulting that this was posted on hackernews.
- Charuru 16y agoPlease post link to fundamental design rules.
- MrMatt 16y agoAgain, could you trim the number from the title of this post and have a glance at the guidelines, please?
