> For a person to become a police officer they will take on much more risk to their families and property. And why is that? Why are LEO disliked or having to live in fear? Shouldn't a society support the members of itself who willingly take on a role to protect said society? Perhaps it's that the populous is increasingly seeing the police apparatus as the enforcement arm of a shadowy, unaccountable bureaucracy in bed with corporations and the elite, and not a force for the protection of the public. So again, who's who and what they do in the government should be publicly accessible.
