Because most of the income from the rider goes directly to the driver.
- drcross 8y agoWorse than that, Uber are taking money from investors and directly giving it to the drivers to subsidise the trip price for the consumer all in an effort to build market share. It's folly to think that customers are going to remain loyal to such a service once the money runs out.
