  That's literally why the law exists, to protect people from the arbitrary will of those more powerful. I would think anyone who has read even a tiny bit about the subject would know that. Then again maybe I'm wrong, maybe I should go on some trendy protest and get hit with a truncheon so I can better understand the purpose of the law.
