How Capitalism Betrayed the Right to Be Left Alone
- comiskey1905 8y agoI can't read the article because I'm not a member of nytimes. Heck, this is another invasion of privacy - I hope they just charge their reader instead of making them subscribe to another website. Once, I tried to subscribe to a website; I guess it was about politics and I knew it was leaning towards right wing. I don't mind, I'm conservative myself. But I didn't actually finish joining that website and from that point, they don't stop junking my inbox. I should've entered my throwaway account. The emails they send are scary as well - why would Ted Cruz send me an email? I think it's their tactic - 1. to use famous people's name to make people open the email 2. to make people believe they are part of something huuuuuge (maybe it works for people who care about politics but it's not me). I heard the admin of that website had an affiliation with Ted Cruz, but fuck that. That backstabbing sneks don't know any boundaries. I can't simply delete the account because I use that account for other things as well. Ah. Imprudent child, I was.
