The Hawking radiation for a black hole with this mass would be really small. It actually decreases with added mass. So, this observation does not say anything about Hawking radiation.
- ajuc 8y agoShouldn't it increase, just with square of the radius, so it's dwarfed by all the effects that scale with cube of the radius?
- petschge 8y agoThe temperature is actually inversely proportional to black hole mass and the power that is radiated away even falls like the square of the mass. (A rough but illustrative derivation can be found in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hawking_radiation#A_crude_analytic_estimate https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hawking_radiation#A_crude_anal... )
