Article brings up a good point, pigs are one of the most intelligent animals on the planet, yet pork production is increasing every year. More than half of grain also goes towards livestocks. Intelligence and consumption efficiency of other produce isn't really a good excuse for not being eaten as the markets have proven.

- daniel-cussen 8y agoMaybe in order to certify the octopus is free-range the certifier should demand they be farmed in intellectually stimulating conditions, like with coral and rocks and the ability to trap fish with various types of camouflage.
