Let's be honest about a different factor here - even if ChangeAView doesn't take off, I doubt CMR has much of a future. There are few places on Reddit where any sort of divergent view is accepted by the board, by the mods, and the community in general. Maybe CMV continues to stick around, but given how polarized it reddit has become, it's doubtful that there is room for a subreddit that encourages open, critical thought.. (I say this, after finally throwing in the towel and unsubscribing from /politics today. Even as a nevertrumper, the daily drumbeat of vitriol against anyone who doesn't exhibit perfect ideological conformance is staggering)..
