My work has handled this with autogeneration of things like DB models. I don't know if that would be applicable to what you're doing.

- int_19h 8y agoSo, basically, textual, non-syntax-aware macros? It's not uncommon to use such in C to define generic data structures and operations, but it's very painful to write and maintain... and besides, it has been widely considered a pain point in C for decades. It shouldn't be necessary in a modern well-designed PL.
