Who is going to pick up garbage in a basic income society and why? Don’t be surprised if you have to pay these people radically more than they are currently paid. In which case COL goes up significantly and the basic income doesn’t go as far and we are back to square one.

- jquery 8y agoAre you suggesting garbage men will be millionaires? When we're talking about spending trillions and fundamentally changing the relationship between citizens, their government, and work, platitudes convince nobody but the choir.
- Retra 8y agoNo, I'm saying people will continue to be garbage men because they want more money. Basic income is not going to stop people from wanting more money.
