If the main reason for your switch from sql to dynamo is that it is managed why not use aws aurora, aurora serverless, or any other more managed sql solution? Now when many sql databases support json I don’t quite understand why you would use a documentdb for anything else then for actual unstructured data, or key value pairs that needs specific performance. I used mongodb for a while now I’m 100% back in sql. Document dbs really increased my love for sql. But I’m also long from being a nosql expert and I never have to deal with data above a TB.
