That's been my motto for Windows 10. It's Microsoft's computer, and they will reboot it whenever they please, update it when they want to, and put whatever ads or other apps on the start menu or task bar as they see fit.
It's their computer and it serves their interests first and foremost.
I used to run a Mac but it's been a few years. I don't remember Mac OS being nearly as control freakish as Windows 10.
I still have a Windows 7 PC but I use it exclusively for games and absolutely nothing else. It's even VLAN/firewall isolated from the rest of my computers. I guess I will have to upgrade to Windows 10 here this summer finally because Win7 is going EoL for security updates.
I often spend time in the Seattle area and have more than once told someone they have "Microsoft morals". It's never been taken as a compliment, which is as-intended.
