I don't think it's a bug, it's a feature (no pun intended). If there is problem with reported values from a BIOS, it's a good thing Windows does not continue.

I don't think it's a bug, it's a feature (no pun intended). If there is problem with reported values from a BIOS, it's a good thing Windows does not continue. BIOS issues (such as a RAM address out of the reported range) can lead to unpredictable behaviour. Troubleshooting such issues is next to impossible.
