Follow the guide and you will have a spare. You create the keys on a live distro, just to be sure nothing is written to disk. Then write the master keys to an encrypted usb drive that you hide in a safe. After that you write the keys (stripped) to the yubikey. When you lose the yubikey you import the master keys from the usb drive and all your access is there. Then you revoke the keys and start over.
