Revoking the abilities of companies to limit their liabilities is very hard. Very few companies could exist (certainly no public ones) if there was no bottom to what personal assets could be clawed back in a corporate bankruptcy.
I’m not arguing that limited liability is perfect - just that we’ve built much of capitalism (including our ability to invest) on top of it.
