To use the parlance of our time, a lot of people are becoming “woke” to just how morally bankrupt our society has become. And while these sorts of companies have always existed, what’s new is this layer of “saving the world” morality that allows people to feel good about it. It’s like being a henchman, only you’ve managed to convince yourself it’s honest work. And maybe now it actually is.
