I recently bought a 2018 MacBook Air. I don’t know if this revision has a different keyboard than the one in question, or what, but I find it totally fine to type on. Prior to this, I was using 1013-2015 era laptops; I know these came before the problematic keyboards and I don’t really find the newer or the older ones worse in any real way. However, that’s just speaking of what they’re like when they work. The failure rate is a major, major problem and they are not doing enough about it, at all.
