Ask HN: Advice about VoIP-like service

I'm looking for something I'm not even sure exists, but decided to post it here: - I own(ed) a Straight Talk sim card - I came to Portugal and lost it here - Is there a voip-like service into which I can port my lost sim card's number, and from which I can port it back to a mobile carrier, when I get back to the US?
