I haven't had any issues with drying eyes any more than usual. Regarding black blacks, I haven't had any issues that I've noticed, and I do do some minor photography work as a hobby with the monitor. In a dark room at night, I do switch to a different color profile, otherwise the screen is way too bright.

That's what I wanted to hear, re: blacks. I have enough feedback to know what to expect and I'm going for it. Thanks everyone, I thought it was a wild idea but not really in fact.
