- jnbiche 8y agoYour analogy seems more like an argument against moral relativism that for it. Specifically, if murder is always wrong, then your hypothetical aliens are committing a moral transgression. If moral relativism is all we have, then it should be fine to destroy us and our planet by their own standards.
- int_19h 8y agoMoral relativism is simply accepting that there's no value system that is rooted in immutable laws of nature - it's all cultural. It doesn't mean that you can't prefer one value system to the other, and make judgments accordingly.
