There is the energy limitation as well. All the equipment needed to do self driving today requires more energy than you can sustainably draw from typical cars.
Please if you downvote at least leave a comment why you think I am wrong. This is a well known fact in the autopilot community.

- p1esk 8y agoThanks, do you know how much power Tesla’s autopilot equipment consumes? I assume that almost all that power goes into the vision chips?
