I was confused when I learned linear regression is considered ML now.
- Ragib_Zaman 8y agoIts been considered ML ever since experts started writing books about ML (and before that, "pattern recognition"). Most introductory ML books cover it in some detail.
- contravariant 8y agoWell, it's not like a support vector machine that just separates two point clouds by a hyperplane is that much more advanced than an algorithm that draws a line that best matches a point cloud.
