For articles like this there always seems to be a few comments suggesting statistically Tesla's are the safest cars.
Are the cars safe or is it the drivers? The population of Tesla drivers is far from average; the average driver certainly can't afford a 40-80k+ car and may not be interested in electric.
- rohit2412 8y agoAnd what exactly are they comparing. Just because Lane keeping assist reduced accidents doesn't mean that we remove human drivers. As long as the driver has to keep hand on the wheel like autopilot, it remains an assistive technology, and does not support any arguments for driverless technologies.
