I'm paying the person I received the service from. Me handing someone extra cash is neither unfair nor unethical. If you feel like Uber is doing something wrong there's a trivial solution. Just pay your driver more. Sure it doesn't solve Uber's problems, it doesn't change the behavior of anyone else, but it does solve your personal culpability. (If you feel you have such culpability)
