Many of the clinics here that are open late do charge an "after hours" fee. It's about $20 tacked on to the base office visit fee. "Urgent care" walk-in clinics don't and are typically open 8-8 or so.

Where is “here”? In the US your rates are contracted with insurers, so for any patient with insurance, a cash add-on is fraud.

  I'm in the US. The after hours fee is definitely a thing at my kid's pediatrician practice. It ends up being something we pay out of pocket. And yes we have insurance and the docs are in network.
