IIRC Linux does not use GitHub for project management or as a source of truth, only as a mirror.
- thomasfedb 8y agoThis. Comparison with Linux is laughable, there have been orders of magnitude more patches to Linux than there are PRs on their GitHub.
- vimslayer 8y agoYep, Linus has been quite vocal about his distaste for GitHub pull requests. https://github.com/torvalds/linux/pull/17#issuecomment-5654674 https://github.com/torvalds/linux/pull/17#issuecomment-56546...
- thomasfedb 8y agoInteresting how Linus's replies look ridiculous on the GitHub interface (at least on mobile) because he hard-wraps his paragraphs. Particularly when half his gripe with GitHub is not hard-wrapping commit messages.
