I drive and cycle, and somehow I just do not find cyclists irritating. When are they ever inconveniencing me? It simply does not happen. How can a cyclist possibly ruin my commute, no matter how he rides? It is inconceivable to me that your delay at intersections is a reasonable complaint to make.
