Just to make sure, as there is conflicting information in various (more or less) trustworthy places, will apps using SAF have full rw random-access to files (contained in the tree to which they were granted access), without additional latency, and will the interface be available without Java (e.g. if you're using C/C++/Go etc.)?
- pjmlp 8y agoNo, they are Java only. Even the permissions are Java only. They worked around it on the NDK samples by removing the features that would require the use of the permissions API, just to show how seriously they take the NDK.
