If only someone took the rss feeds from youtube channels and made your own front end. Ditch their portal. Turn youtube into a type of podcast db, its just a media storage site. Then you could create your own portal, parse the views/ratings and provide real statistics. I don't watch youtube for youtube, I watch youtube for user-created content. And some of that content has already moved off onto 3rd party sites. Floatplane anyone? Patreon anyone? list goes on. I just wish finding video content was as easy as searching for podcasts. Youtube provides RSS links, I use them to add to my podcast player.
